Recent progresses in the nanotechnology field revealed the uses of nanomaterials for developing control systems to ensure food quality and safety.

Project goal

The project goal is represented by the development of a technology for the phytosynthesis of metallic nanomaterials, using extracts from cruciferous crops waste (cabbage, broccoli, turnip, radish, etc.) with application as a sensing platform for the detection of microbial pathogens from food matrices (meat, fruits, dairy products).
