Development of plant extracts and innovative phytosynthesized nanostructured mixtures with phytotherapeutic applications in order to reduce biocenotic stress in horticultural crops
BIOHORTINOV – Component project 3
6PCCDI/2018 – PC3
Project goal
In recent decades, there has been a high interest in the scientific field of nanotechnology to obtain and characterize nanometric architectures obtained by “green chemistry” methods, in order to reduce or eliminate the use and generation of substances dangerous to human health and the environment. Nanoparticles with different compositions, shapes, sizes and controlled polydispersity were developed and synthesized. Regardless of the techniques for obtaining the nanoparticles, toxic substances, organic solvents or toxic reducing agents are used. As an alternative, the phytosynthesis of nanomaterials is eco-friendly, easy to scale and less expensive. From this perspective, the project proposes an absolutely innovative and original approach for obtaining extracts and phytosynthesized nanometric architectures (mono and bimetallic nanoparticles) with practical applications in a field of special importance at national level: combating the main fungal diseases affecting vine and apple culture (two of the national cultures of special importance).
