Complex multidisciplinary project for monitoring, conservation, protection and promotion of the Romanian cultural heritage

A complex project carried out in a CDI consortium, RO-CHER proposes an innovative multidisciplinary methodology that integrates high-level scientific expertise for the safeguarding of the national cultural heritage.

Project goal

  • achieving synergies of scientific activities within complementary component projects;
  • creation of new research jobs (seven vacancies, of which two within INCDCP-ICECHIM);
  • validation of the obtained solutions and their transfer in the economic environment;
  • structuring and developing the service offer and the research infrastructure;
  • reciprocal access of partners to equipment and technologies;
  • strengthening the capacity of institutions through training / training internships and working visits;
  • development of a knowledge cluster, able to access national and international funds.

Total budget: 5.287.500 lei

Objectives

Main objective: achieving synergies of scientific activities within the component projects for the development of technologies and materials designed to integrate research dedicated to the study of mobile and real cultural-historical heritage with new spatial technologies and classical methods of analysis, in situ and ex situ.

Specific objectives:

  • monitoring cultural heritage sites using space technologies;
  • development of innovative materials and techniques based on soft nanomaterials for safeguarding cultural heritage;
  • proposing an integrated management (conservation, restoration, protection) of the objectives belonging to the cultural heritage;
  • promoting cultural heritage sites using modern digital reconstruction technologies;
  • capitalizing and disseminating knowledge and research results;
  • providing technical assistance and high level scientific and technological services;
  • initiating and developing viable collaborations with partners from the public and private economic environment;
  • increasing international visibility.
