NIRDCP-ICECHIM’s Coat-armour

The National Institute for Research&Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry – ICECHIM cooperates with many external organizations and the need to use the NIRDCP-ICECHIM Coat-armour elements (emblem, logo, trade mark) or that of its Innovation Communities (PRIOCHEM) by third parties frequently arises.

The Coat-armour of NIRDCP-ICECHIM and of its Innovation Communities are the intellectual property of the NIRDCP-ICECHIM.

NIRDCP-ICECHIM will pursue cases of abuse and fraudulent use of these items.

I. Terms and conditions of use

I.1 NIRDCP-ICECHIM grants the use of the Innovation Community Coat-armour to designated Innovation Communities and their partners through signing a framework partnership agreement or by award a specific waiver.

I.2 Moreover, NIRDCP-ICECHIM’s Coat-armour and that of its Innovation Communities may be used by third parties subject to the below terms and conditions.

The Coat-armour may only be used if:

• Permission is requested and granted in writing ex ante the coat-armour item is used;
• There is no likelihood for the user of the NIRDCP-ICECHIM’S coat-armour to be confused with NIRDCP-ICECHIM and/or its Innovation Communities;
• It is not used in connection with objectives or activities which are incompatible with the aims and principles of the NIRDCP-ICECHIM and/or of its Innovation Communities;
• It is not used to imply or suggest unintended endorsement or promotion of the objectives and activities of the user of the NIRDCP-ICECHIM’S coat-armour items by NIRDCPI-CECHIM and/or of its Innovation Communities.

I.3 NIRDCP-ICECHIM’S coat-armour shall be used in its entirety without distorting, modifying or separating its component elements.

Permission to use the NIRDCP-ICECHIM and/or an Innovation Community Coat-armour does not confer on those to whom it is granted any right of exclusive use, nor does it allow them to appropriate the Coat-armour, either by registration or any other means. Each case will be examined individually to ascertain whether it satisfies the criteria set out above. Permission to use will be unlikely granted in a commercial context, should the Coat-armour of NIRDCP-ICECHIM be used in conjunction with a company’s own logo, name or trade mark.

II. Requesting permission to use the NIRDCP-ICECHIM or any of its Innovation Communities Coat-armour

Request for permission should be submitted to the National Institute for Reseach&Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry – ICECHIM. All NIRDCP-ICECHIM units are authorised to render permission to use the NIRDCP-ICECHIM Coat-armour subject to the terms and conditions as described above, to third parties

NIRDCP-ICECHIM grants the use of NIRDCP-ICECHIM Innovation Community logos to the designated Innovation Communities and their partner organisations. For permission to use a specific Innovation Community logo, please contact the Innovation Community Organizing Committee directly.
