Research Structures and Analytical Support
The Research Structures and Analytical Support units bring together specialized groups providing scientific expertise, advanced analytical services, and access to research infrastructures essential for carrying out research, development, and innovation activities at the National Institute for Research & Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry – INCDCP-ICECHIM Bucharest.
Through complementary expertise and state-of-the-art research infrastructure, these structures support all research teams within the institute by contributing to materials characterization, the development and validation of analytical methods, advanced investigation of materials and nanomaterials, and the implementation of national and international research projects.
Their activities are focused on delivering highly accurate analytical results, developing and optimizing analytical and characterization methods, and maximizing the value of the institute's research infrastructure for the benefit of the scientific community and the socio-economic environment.
Mission
The mission of the Research Structures and Analytical Support units is to foster excellence in research by providing scientific expertise, high-quality analytical and characterization services, and access to advanced research infrastructure. Through the continuous development of their expertise and analytical capabilities, these structures contribute to enhancing research quality, accelerating innovation, and facilitating technology transfer to industry and public institutions.
A specialized structure providing physicochemical analyses, materials characterization, experimental testing, and the development of analytical methods, supporting research activities, technological development, and scientific services for academic and industrial partners. The laboratory operates a quality management system in accordance with the requirements of the SR EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard and, within its accredited scope, delivers traceable and internationally recognized analytical results.
A specialized structure dedicated to high-resolution electron microscopy and the structural and morphological characterization of materials, nanomaterials, and biological systems, providing scientific support for multidisciplinary research and access to advanced imaging and characterization techniques.
