HR Excellence in Research – HRS4R process at ICECHIM

ICECHIM is committed to implementing the principles of the European Charter for Researchers, within the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R), with the objective of continuously improving the research environment, working conditions, career development and recruitment processes, in accordance with European standards.

The HRS4R process included an internal analysis of the institute’s practices and procedures, consultation of the research community through surveys and outreach activities, as well as the involvement of management structures and relevant departments. Based on this process, the GAP Analysis, Action Plan and OTM-R Checklist were developed, documents submitted to the European Commission for the initial evaluation.

Currently, ICECHIM is in the process of reviewing and updating the HRS4R documentation, based on the recommendations received from the European Commission evaluators. The revised documents will reflect both the evaluators’ recommendations and the opinions and needs of ICECHIM researchers, with a focus on realistic, measurable and sustainable measures for the development of the research environment.
